Belle Vallee Cellars: Quail Run Vineyard

Owners Don and Traute Moore, a Missouri and Austrian native, made the move up from Southern California in 1989 to establish Quail Run Vineyard’s, the first of many to come. Don and Traute have continued to plant since ’89 they have been intimately involved in the design and execution of Pleasant View Vineyard (12acre), Griffin Creek Vineyard (25acre), Sundown Vineyard (25acre), Lakeside Vineyard (25acre), Fort Miller Vineyard (30acre) and the newest and most impressive is Crater View (80acre). These vineyards are planted with a range of varietals from Pinot Noir and Gris to diverse Bordeaux and Rhone Varietals. Quail Run’s, vineyard manager is Chris Hubert he is personally involved in all aspects of managing day to day operations for the Moore’s. Chris graduated with honors from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and since started managing vineyards in Napa before finally moving to Southern Oregon in 2003.
